Virginia A Corman , 81, of Burlington, died at 8:30 AM Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the Bickford Cottage.
Born January 9, 1938, in Moline, IL, she was the daughter of George Graham and Beatrice Nelson Corman.
She was a 1956 graduate of Burlington High School.
Virginia did clerical work for JI Case for 30 years and Burlington School District for 8 years.
She was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church and also attended Riverside Baptist Church. She loved going to garage and yard sales, church functions and was the Historian of West Hill Church. Virginia enjoyed learning about the history of Des Moines County and was a member of Friends of the Depot.
Survivors include her brother, Roger (Dorothy) Corman of Colorado; one nephew, Brian Corman; one niece, Leslie Conley; several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The memorial service for Mrs. Corman will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Rev. Tamara Wirt officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for West Hill United Methodist Church.

Janet Louise Stadtlander, 92, of Burlington, died at 9:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Burlington Care Center in Burlington.
Born January 16, 1927, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ed and Clara M. Bergman Stadtlander.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1944.
Janet started working in October of 1994, for Northwestern Bell where she held several different position before she retired in September 1981. She was in Telephone Pioneers and was the treasurer for many years. It later became the Telecom Pioneers.
She was a member of Community of Christ Church, secretary of the church and Sunday School, for many years. She also belonged to Farm Bureau and RSVP. Janet enjoyed eating out, Civic Music and crocheting scrubbies.
Survivors include her friends from Community of Christ Church and Burlington Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother who lived for 28 hours and died in 1922.
The Graveside Committal Service for Ms. Stadtlander will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with High Priest Suzan Standberg officiating. Those wishing to attend the service will meet at the Sunnyside Avenue gate prior to the service for a procession to the gravesite.
Memorials have been established for Community of Christ Church and Special Needs Foundation.

Ashley Crist, 33, of Columbia, MO died Saturday, September 28, 2019.
Born December 9, 1985, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Douglas “Doug” Wayne and Cynthia “Cindi” Ann Albright Crist.
She was a very caring, compassionate and kind mother who loved her children. She was very smart and loved to swim. She liked taking trips to Six Flags, and the Zoo, where she developed a love for animals. Ashley was always looking for animals to save, and even nursing several back to health. She even found and befriended a deer in the field by her childhood home, who would respond to the name Bambi and even got close enough for the deer to eat out of her hand. Ashley had a very special place in her heart for her Aunt Linda, her cousin, Jodi, and her 95 year old Grandma Betty.
Survivors include her parents, Douglas and Cynthia Crist of Burlington; four daughters, Mackenzie, Makayla, Makenna, and Makynleigh; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Tillie Albright, paternal grandfather, Donald Crist, and one sister, Jessica Crist.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Ashley will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dingus officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Wounded Warrior Project and Hope Haven.
