Mark Anderson, 57, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

Born June 4, 1960, in Illinois, he was the son of Terrance Craig Anderson and Elizabeth Kay Peterson Carper.

He was an avid outdoors man and a hard worker. Mark enjoyed music, traveling, spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Kay (Gary) Carper of CA; one son, Collin Ensley of Burlington; one brother, Jeff (Bonnie) Anderson of Belleville, IL; several nieces and nephews and friends Mary Casey of Gladstone, IL

He is preceded in death by his father, one sister: Lori Kane, and two brothers Mike, Todd

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.

Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.

Evelyn Marsh, 78, of Burlington, died at 3:45 AM Monday, November 27, 2017, at Lexington Square in Keokuk.

Born September 21, 1939, she was the daughter of Lester and Georgie Kimbrough. On , she married Ernest Marsh.

Survivors include her niece, Nicole Johnson of Norcross, GA.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.

Donald Leroy Bowers, age 85, of Wapello and formerly of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. The son of Murl and Esther Samuels Bowers, he was born on December 13, 1931 near Morning Sun. He married Bonnie Wasson Boline on November 3, 1975. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2010.

Donald graduated from Morning Sun High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War stationed in Guam where he was a heavy equipment operator. Don farmed for most of his life and after he retired he helped Doug and Ann Lee with their farm. Retirement wasn’t for him.

He went to Canada several times to fish and in his younger years he played cards. He and Bonnie enjoyed travelling. He looked forward to Friday mornings when Elsie Watson would stop in for a visit.

His survived by two daughters, Sandra & Wayne Easley of Burlington and Loretta & Dennis Rice of Winfield; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Crystal, Nicole, Candi, Chad, Corey, Wendy, Traves, and Josh; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Darrell Kelley of Morning Sun; and a sister-in-law, Joan Bowers of Kingston. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie; daughter, Carlotta; son, Steve; a grandson; a great granddaughter; three sisters; and a brother.

The family will gather and meet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun followed by a graveside service at 11:15 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun. A lunch gather is planned at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Morning Sun. Rev. Carl Benge will officiate the service.

Memorial gifts will benefit the Centenary United Methodist Church.
