Mrs. P. Joyce McPeak, 77, of Blandinsville, IL, passed away at 7:05AM Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at the Maple Crossing Nursing Home in Amboy, IL.
She was born October 11, 1940 in Golden, IL, the daughter of Leo and Dorothy Hogan Brown. On August 20, 1958, she married Kenneth L. McPeak in Blandinsville.
Joyce was a 1958 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon, IL. She had worked for King-Sealey and McGraw Edison in Macomb, IL, Twin Oaks Golf Course in Blandinsville and for Robert Russell’s Country Café in LaHarpe. She enjoyed decorating her home and loved to cook.
She is survived by her husband, 4 daughters, Pam (Mike) Rothlauf of West Burlington, IA, Tammy Hodges of Macomb, Sherry (Dan) Mitchell of West Burlington, IA and Kim (Tom) Sitton of Bowling Green, MO, 1 son, Doug McPeak of Bowling Green, MO, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchilden, 1 sister, Velta Bartz of Quincy, IL and 1 brother, Richard (Candy) Brown also of Quincy, IL.
She was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Ryan McPeak, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and her parents.
As per her wishes, following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Blandinsville – Hire District Library. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is assisting with arrangements. William D. “Billy” Campbell, 61, of rural Lomax, IL passed away surrounded by his family at 1:35 pm December 5, 2017 at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

Billy was a 1974 graduate of the Burlington High School. He worked for Case New Holland in Burlington for 40 years. He also briefly worked for Champion Spark Plug for five years. Mr. Campbell was a member of the UAW Local 807 of Burlington. He loved gardening, mushrooming, fishing, and was well known for his smoked chickens, turkeys and prime rib.

Survivors include his life partner, Rita Munoz, two daughters, Angie (Dave) Hedges and Heather (Ben) Thie both of Mediapolis, IA, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
