Tracy Sue Koett, 56, of Burlington, died at 10:55 AM Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born August 15, 1965, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Herbert Alvin Cambell and Margie Ann Kelly. After her father passed away, she was adopted by Robert Royer, whom her mother married. Tracy married Ricky Taylor, then later divorced. She later married VJ Koett and they later divorced.
She attended Burlington High School then received her Associate’s Degree from Southeastern Community College.
Tracy worked for Dresser-Rand, now known as Siemens, for over 25 years.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran and the Burlington Gym. She was described as having a bright personality and a distinct laugh. She enjoyed flowers and soaking up the sun to get her Vitamin D. Tracy enjoyed traveling and going on new adventures. Most of all, Tracy loved spending time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Margie Royer; two daughters, Jamie (Jay) Judge of Ankeny and Julia (Tyler Waggener) of West Burlington; fiancé, Richard Oscar Cline of Burlington; two bonus daughters, Amber and Mackenzie Cline; four grandchildren, Luke and Max Judge, Aurora Waggener, and Iverson Cline; sister, Kelly (Curtis) Willeford of Burlington; half-sister, Brandi Ridgely of Missouri; niece, Nicole (Jeff) Gerdom; nephew, Nathan (Katie) Willeford; great nieces and nephews and her dog, Herbie.
She was preceded in death by her fathers; maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Mindy Hoaglin; and special friend, Steven Ellison.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2022 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The Graveside Service for Tracy will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Larry Max Heater, 75, of Burlington, died at 12:38 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born May 26, 1946, in Mount Pleasant, IA, he was the son of Max Cleo and Elsie Luella Glazebrook Heater. In December of 1965 he married Brenda Doreen Kerr and they later divorced. On June 26, 1976, he married Judy Marie Brammer in Stronghurst, IL. She died May 14, 2015.
He attended New London High School. While in school, he worked for the New London Grain Elevator.
He drove a gravel truck for Des Moines County. Larry was an over-the-road truck driver for Truck Transport Inc. and Long Trucking for 44 years. He later went to work for Centre State delivering parts until his retirement in 2016.
Larry loved to travel and drive. He was a walking road map and always gave you directions, even if you knew the way. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for many years. He loved animals and planted a garden with his family every year. He enjoyed coffee with his friends every morning.
Survivors include son, Bryan Dean Heater of Donnellson; daughter, Leslie Marie (Clint) Glasscock of Keokuk; three grandchildren; his four legged grandson, Rocky; four great-grandchildren; step-son, Steven Mark Lewis of Burlington; step-daughter, Patricia Ann Lewis of Burlington; two step grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Terry of Morning Sun and his many special friends.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Lori Michelle Heater, step daughter Kelly Myers, half brother Richard Foland and half sister Deloris.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Heater will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2022, at Burge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.

Donald A. Dickey, 86, of Wapello passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Donald Arthur Dickey was born on May 16, 1935 in Kingston, Iowa, the son of John and Ida (Kramer) Dickey. Don attended school in Oakville. On December 11, 1954, Don was united in marriage to Patricia Neal in Burlington. Don worked for HON Industries retiring in 1991. He enjoyed wood working, throwing horse shoes and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
Don will be deeply missed by his special companion, Francis Whisler; his children, Steve (Michelle) Dickey of Wapello, Diane Blodgett of Iowa City, Shelley (John) Bartenhagen of Wapello and Gary (Michelle) Dickey of Wapello; grandchildren, Blair Dickey, Alissa Dickey, Jennifer (Tony) Crone, Alex (Ashley) Bartenhagen, Abbey (Jordan) Gerling, Evan Bartenhagen, Eryka Dickey and Garret Dickey; four great-grandchildren; Taryn Crone, Adeline and Kip Gerling and Rhett Bartenhagen; siblings, Margie, Karen, Hilda, Ruth, Harry and Raymond and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pat in 2001 and siblings, Leota, Verlee, Mable, Venita, John, Frank, Viola, Helen and Gilbert.
Sheldon J. Bennett, age 79 of Lomax, Illinois, passed away December 7, 2021 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 in the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Illinois. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family.
Howard Eugene “Gene” Bowerbank II, 79, of Burlington, died Friday, March 25, 2022 at his home.
Born September 4, 1942 in Rural Cromwell, Iowa he was the son of Howard Eugene Sr. and Thelma (Barnes) Bowerbank. He married Sharon Newnham on November 14, 1980 in Carthage, Illinois.
After graduating high school Gene attended a mechanical trade school. He worked as a mechanic and millwright for I.A.A.P and J.I. Case.
He was a member of the Southeast Iowa Antique Car Club for over 50 years, the 20th Century Car Club, Blackhawk Auto Restorers and the GWRRA.
He enjoyed attending Midwest Old Threshers yearly and spending time with his grandchildren and his dachshunds.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Bowerbank of Burlington; four children, Craig Bowerbank of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Brian (Amy) Bowerbank of Indianapolis, Indiana, Darla (Roy) Cochenour of Danville, Iowa and Jeff (Charlyce) Ruth of Rogersville, Missouri; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother Kenneth (Sandy) Bowerbank of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one sister Vicki (Scott) Workman of Castlerock, Colorado; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Terry Ruth.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. The memorial funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Dean Graber will officiate.
Memorials have been established for Midwest Old Threshers and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
